My last name. Blonde. Beaches. Boston. Boys. Baseball. Beer. Besties. You name it.

Where have I been the last few weeks, you ask?

Oh, anywhere and everywhere I tell you. Allow me to catch you up with some pics. Because pics are so much more fun than words.

So I went blonder. Shocker, I'm sure. I knew it was coming. I just feel more myself as I layer in the highlights. I'm loving it.

I also took some time off. Ok, a lot of time off. I may have played hooky and also taken a vacation.

I spent some time with my little sister. Hard to believe she's only 12. She's my little mini me I tell you. My mom is in for some trouble.

The beaches in South Florida are my favorite. Especially the quiet ones. Deserted almost. Peaceful.


Then I went to Beantown. My first time actually. It was a BLAST. The city, the atmosphere, the accents and especially the people. Oh the people. So brutally honest, loud and hysterical. I think I may have just described myself as well. The whole visit just really sat well with me.


I went to Fenway, the Boston Library, Quincy Market, you name it. I walked over 10 miles of that beautiful city and I dream of the next time I will visit.

It's National Flip Flop Day and I'm back with another outfit post and linkup with Walking in Memphis in High Heels! And it's also the fourth installment of my photo series, Life's A Beach.

It's a very simple outfit post today, complete with a white tank, dark jeans and these adorable starfish flip flops. Sometimes I feel the most comfortable in a simple outfit like this, don't y'all?

This weekend officially kicks off Summer and I'll be spending it down in the Keys with my girlfriends. To say I am excited is an understatement. Hopefully the weather cooperates. Wish us luck!

Today, I bring you the third installment of my Life's a Beach photo series. However, this time, I wore jeans! I stopped to grab a few photos on my way to work and I was surprised at how quickly I was put in a such a good mood watching the sunrise.

This bright peplum top is so perfect for dressing up or down. I think it would look adorable with white shorts too.

And I'm back with another installment of the Life's a Beach photo series! Today I give you a girly two piece outfit that's a little nautical but very fun! An outfit like this is meant to be seen. Lately, I've become obsessed with skirts. So easy, so versatile and so, so fun! Dress them up or down - accessorize or keep it simple.

I've also been switching it up with my poses. By no means, is this girl a model, but I've been trying new things. Thoughts?

Andd, how great is that boardwalk to the beach? It truly is remarkable how close I live to paradise.

So I have decided to do a mini-series of photoshoots over the next few weeks taken at our local beaches here in Sunny Florida. It is truly remarkable how paradise is just a few minutes away and at our very fingertips!

The first beach style is a classic bright bohemian top with white shorts and a floppy hat. This was probably my favorite photoshoot of all time. What do you think?

So I've been a bad girl lately. I think I may have taken it to a whole new level. I feel like I NEED everything especially everything at Target. We all know this is clearly not true. Anyways, I thought I'd catch you up my life and what I am loving lately. Let's start with a few of my recent purchases, of course. I have been spending a lot of time at the beach and pool this summer and I really wanted to get a new bathing suit. I am in LOVE with this suit from Victoria's Secret! I also felt the need for a new beach towel, sunglasses, sandals, jean shorts, tank, beach bag, beach hat and tank! I know, I am well aware of how ridiculous I am. You can tell the theme of colors below - enjoy! Mostly everything was found at Target besides the beach towel and bathing suit.

Ever feel like you give too much? And receive too little? Lately, that's how I am feeling around these parts. It's really hard to get a handle on life sometimes and I think it slips between our fingers. I am beginning to learn how much I can truly take on and I know that we are only given as much as we can take but there are days where it just feels like it's too much. I plan to start reminding myself that life does go on and good things will happen to good people in time. So patience is obviously a big part in life. Sometimes we just need a little reminder. It was nice to get away last weekend even if it was just for work. I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and for the long weekend ahead which includes lots of time at the beach! Oh and a little me time with a hair appointment, pedicure, manicure and some shopping. It's the little things that make me happy..haha!

Also.. I decided to take the plunge and purchase a new curling iron. I love my wand but sometimes it is just too difficult to hold. Anyone use the Chi curling iron? I got it at a MAJOR steal at Target using coupon codes, gift cards and my red card! And I even purchased the 2 year warranty and still managed to only spend $9. Woo hoo! I will do a little review on it once I receive it next week. 

Spending time here for the next few days working and clearing the head. Will be back to full speed next week.  xoxo Jessica
